Grants Awarded

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has awarded a $10,000 grant to Au Sable. Half of the funds will be used to support minority scholarships, and half to support Au Sable's international programs in India and Africa.

Au Sable Institute and faculty member Rolf Bouma have received a $10,000 grant from the John Templeton Foundation for a course on Environmental Ethics and World Religions. Rolf's course proposal was one of the winners in the 2000 Science and Religion Course Competition sponsored by the foundation.
