Winter 2000: Community Programs - Great Lakes

Introducing Danielle (Rozeboom) MacKenzie, New Program Assistant
By Patricia Fagg

Danielle MacKenzie, a graduate of Hope College, began as Program Assistant at Great Lakes in August. Danielle is a licensed teacher with two years of classroom experience in which she created and implemented an environmental studies course along with her other teaching duties.

In addition, she brings to us her experience as an instructor at Orkila, a residential environmental education program on Orcas Island, Washington and her work with a Christian outdoor adventure program for high school students.

Danielle has also served as the program coordinator for Project Hospitality on Staten Island, New York in which she coordinated high school youth groups going to Staten Island to work on projects serving Project Hospitality, a organization that deals with issues involving hunger, homelessness, and people with HIV. As coordinator, Danielle led devotionals and worship as well as provided programming for the week-long ministry.
