Environmental Education Program Great Lakes Air Quality Clean air is essential for life. Yet, how is our air? What about news reports about buildings that make people sick? How does air get dirty? What are the sources of polluntants? What can I do to protect the quality of air? These are questions students answer as they monitor air quality by chemically analyzing air samples. Biological monitors are also used. Students use a lichen survey to add to our data enabling us to measure changes in air quality over time. Environmental Studies |
