Elements of Our Environment - Insects
Offered September and early October
Appropriate Age Level: 1st - 2nd grade
Insects
are fascinating. This study takes a close look at insects and their world.
Children will explore the pond, meadow, and forest to find insects and
discover each type of habitat is populated with its own unique community
of insects. As the children examine insects they will learn what special
characteristics make insects a unique group in the animal world. Beginning
science skills are emphasized in this unit. Environmental
