Patricia Fagg Named Environmentalist of the Year in Education

Every year Northern Michigan Environmental Action Council recognizes the achievement of those working to protect the environment of our region through awards in the categories of education, business, public office, journalism, and students. On January 16, 2002, Patricia Fagg was awarded Environmentalist of the Year in Education. This award recognizes programs "that incorporate environmental ethics in the curriculum and daily experience of students, helping them understand the impact of their lifestyle decisions on ecosystems." The award specifically acknowledges Patricia's "25 years of achievement and inspiration as a teacher of other teachers in environmental education, impacting directly and indirectly untold thousands of students and potential environmentalists."
