Au Sable Offers Courses for Missionaries and Development Workers

The following courses are suitable for missionaries and development workers currently serving, as well as for students who are considering missions or international development as a career or ministry path.  Special Financial Aid awards are available for these people as well.

  1. Tropical Agriculture and Missions - a 3-week introduction to many of the issues facing mission workers today, as well as practical introductions to many solutions.  Offered in partnership with ECHO (Educational Concerns for Hunger Org.) in Fort Myers, Florida, June 19 to July 9.
  2. Conservation Biology and Land Resources - 2 courses taught on opposite days over a 5 week term at our Great Lakes campus from June 7 to July 9. (*some previous science courses may be required to take these).
  3. Global Development and Ecological Sustainability and Ecological Agriculture - 2 courses taught on opposite days over a 5 week term at our Pacific Rim campus (Coupeville, Washington) from July 12 to August 13. (*some previous science may be needed for these as well.)

These courses may be taken for academic credit through any of our participating colleges - or directly through Au Sable.  Financial Aid is available.  Students or mission workers who are interested should check the course descriptions linked above and then contact our Admissions office for additional information.
