News & Announcements Great Lakes Community Program To Celebrate 25th Anniversary On Saturday, September 25, the Great Lakes Community Program will be celebrating with the rest of Au Sable Institute the twenty-five years since Au Sable made an historic transition from Au Sable Trails Camp for Youth to the expanded vision of Au Sable Institute for Environmental Studies. We'll be holding an Open House from 10 am to 3 pm on that day, featuring many of the activities (naturalist walks, aquatic life studies) generations of students have experienced on their school visits to Au Sable. This will be a wonderful opportunity for former students to relive their school days, and to bring their children. And also a chance for current students to bring their parents to see what is so special about Au Sable. A program at noon will feature a concert by Floodgate (Ann and Will Rowland), who wrote Excuse Me Sir, That's My Aquifer - music that has been part of the Au Sable curriculum for a number of years. Dr. Cal DeWitt, former Director and current President, will give a short talk, and Dr. Roger Brummel, new CEO/Director will be introduced. Refreshments and tours of the campus will be available all day long. Call the Michigan campus (800-315-2836) for more information or click here for directions. See more News & Announcements
