News & Announcements 2005 Courses are OPEN for Enrollment Au Sable Institute has opened the May and Summer course schedule for on-line enrollments. While there are no immediate enrollment deadlines, we have small classes and limited space. Some courses will fill quickly, and date of application is an important consideration in deciding which students get their first choices for courses and which have to enroll in alternate selections. Students should contact their campus representative to discuss which courses would best fit with their individual academic program. Click here to begin the process of signing up for courses, or here to create an account with Au Sable for the first time. You can view the entire year’s course schedule here and click on any course name for additional information, such as last year’s syllabus. Please note the following important changes for this year:(The Official Bulletin will be available on-line in PDF format shortly) New Application Fee & Tuition Deposit Procedures: All applications must be accompanied by a $35. application fee. This fee will cover as many sessions as you wish to apply for at the same time and can either be paid by check with the application or (shortly) on-line as part of the application process. After you have been accepted in a course, and (if applicable) have received a financial aid award letter, you must send (or pay on-line) a $100. tuition deposit for each session in which you are enrolled. The deposit will be applied to your account; the application fee will not. Neither payment is refundable. Financial Aid deadlines have been adjusted: The first deadline is January 15th, with subsequent processing deadlines of February 15; March 15; and April 15, as long as funds are available. Even so, we encourage you to apply soon as some courses will fill quickly. Au Sable Fellowships are now calibrated in relationship to your home college tuition rate. A fellowship will be worth 50% of tuition (ie. One course will be free). Many students will receive larger fellowship awards than they would have in previous years; a few may see a slight decline in the amount of the fellowship they will receive. Fee increases: After three years without adjustments, we have been forced to raise our minimum tuition rate to $1100 per course and our Room and Board rate to $185 per week. (The increase in minimum tuition will not affect those students (a majority) whose rates are already above this level.) Feel free to contact Dr. Dave Mahan or Muriel Janisse in our Admissions Office (800-315-2836 or admissions@ausable.org) with any questions you might have. See more News & Announcements
