Summer Session I at the Pacific Rim
07/13/05

The Summer Session I students at the Pacific Rim campus had wonderful experiences observing and learning about creation, including orca, harbor seals, otters, eagles, and hawks.  The prairie was still in bloom in the early part of the session.

Some students and staff worked at developing a garden to grow vegetables and herbs organically so that Au Sable can provide good "very locally available" food for some of the meals in the future.  They hope to have some food from the garden ready by the latter part of Summer Session II.

Upon completion of the session, some students have gone on to the Great Lakes Campus, and some are staying at the Pacific Rim.  Au Sable feels blessed to have had such a successful session, and is looking forward to the next five weeks.
