Summer Session II is in Full Swing
07/28/05

A total of 54 students are midway through Summer Session II at two Au Sable campuses this week.  Twenty eight students from 18 colleges are working in the shadow of Washington's Olympic mountains, on the shores of Puget Sound at Pacific Rim campus in Coupeville, Washington, while another twenty six from 16 colleges study and research among the lakes and forests of northern Michigan at Au Sable's Great Lakes campus.

Course selections at each campus reflect the uniqueness of each campus's place in God's creation.  The most popular courses at Great Lakes this session are Limnology and Restoration Ecology.  Students are also taking Summer Flora, Insect Biology, and Environmental Chemistry.

At the Pacific Rim campus the most popular courses this year are Marine Mammals, Alpine Ecology, and Field Geology.  Also offered are Global Development and Ecological Sustainability, Field Botany, and Ecological Agriculture.
