Au Sable’s Academic Dean and several Au Sable faculty are featured in a new book
04/10/06
John Wood along with nine other contributing authors have collaborated on a book that is ideal for individuals and small groups that care about God’s awesome creation and their stewardship responsibilities. A simple everyday choice, such as when to buy a new shirt or getting a new plant for the garden, has an environmental impact. If people are serious about caring for the earth, they need to make good choices in their daily lives.
Living the Good Life on God’s Good Earth, a new book edited by David S. Koetje of Calvin College (Grand Rapids, Mich), takes a close look at how these aspects of daily living affect the environment: housing, food, clothing, energy consumption, plant use, work, and recreation. The book also addresses questions such as; What does a Christian theology of creation care look like? and How can we seek shalom on God’s earth?
This thought-provoking book is written for anyone who cares about how the choices they make affect the earth. Ideal for individuals or use with small groups, each of the ten chapters include questions for reflection or discussion and resources for further reading.
