Evangelical Christianity and the Environment

This worldwide Forum of evangelical leaders had as its theme Evangelical Christianity and the Environment. Comprising 60 individuals from 8 countries and 5 continents with a wide variety of expertise, academic disciplines, and professions, all were closely concerned in different ways with the natural environment. Presentations and discussions affirmed God as Creator-- fully distinct from but also fully involved in Creation-- and the responsibility of humans to care for the Earth and its creatures. Co-sponsoring the event was the Unit on Ethics and Society of the World Evangelical Fellowship Theological Commission.
