For more than 60 years, Au Sable Institute has been inspiring and educating people to serve, protect, and restore God’s earth. Today, Au Sable’s mission is more important than ever, and its programs are thriving.

Students from more than 50 Christian colleges come to Au Sable each summer for rigorous, field-based courses led by expert Christian faculty. Au Sable also serves its northern Michigan community with environmental education and habitat restoration projects in partnership with local schools and faith communities.

New Growth

Au Sable has served thousands of students over the years from its campus in Northern Michigan, but many of the buildings are now more than 40 years old. It’s time for a major investment in the campus infrastructure so Au Sable’s campus can serve the mission and reflect the values of the Institute going forward.

As part of its strategic plan, Au Sable has set a goal of raising $770,000 for capital improvements at the Great Lakes campus. The plans include restoration of several key buildings, investments in energy efficiency throughout campus, and efforts to make Au Sable’s campus more beautiful and welcoming for both students and visitors.

The response from Au Sable’s supporters has been outstanding, with more than $570,000 in gifts and pledges as of October 1, 2025. But we still need your help to raise the final $200,000 to reach the goal.
