Creation Care Theology

At Au Sable we are deeply committed to understanding God’s relationship with His creation, and how that relationship impacts our lives. Our mission, ‘to inspire and educate people to serve and protect God’s earth’ is foremost a response to God’s word, which establishes God’s creativity, ownership, and authority over all of creation, and humanity’s role as stewards, keepers, and rulers made in the image of God. We aspire to follow Christ’s model of sacrificial love and service for the sake of our fellow image-bearers, and for the creation we were called to serve in Genesis 2:15. The following are useful resources for continuing to explore creation’s place in the biblical story.
