Where can I find a job in my field?

There are lots of places to look for work, and even if you’re not currently looking, searching for job ads that are relevant to where you see yourself in 5-10 years can be helpful in deciding how you will get there. If you’re approaching graduation, check out these resources for current opportunities. If you still have a few more years in college, look for jobs anyway, taking note of the skills that show up most frequently in jobs you see yourself applying for down the road.

Need additional skills training? Au Sable’s Certificate Program is designed to help you prepare for entry-level jobs in the environmental workforce, and to highlight the skills you've acquired in an effective resumé.

Christian organizations involved in creation care

Au Sable is one among a number of organizations involved in promoting earth-keeping as part of our calling as Christians. Organizations vary in size, scope, mission, and areas of expertise and influence. As Au Sable’s focus is on education and restoration in North America (college/grad fellows programs) and locally (K-12 Ed program), these other organizations provide resources and opportunities for graduates.

Resources for Graduate Students

Au Sable’s Graduate Fellows Program provides continuing discipleship, training, and connection to peers and mentors who view their love of the earth as an outpouring of their love of Christ. The Graduate Fellows Program accepts applications each fall, and supports students for two-year appointments during their graduate training (with opportunities for renewal).

Stay connected by attending alumni gatherings, joining the alumni newsletter for updates, and engaging in prayer and financial support for the institute. Au Sable regularly invites alumni to share their stories and accomplishments, fostering connections within the Au Sable community and inspiring future generations of students. For more ways to stay involved, visit the Alumni and Community page.

Creation Care Theology

At Au Sable we are deeply committed to understanding God’s relationship with His creation, and how that relationship impacts our lives. Our mission, ‘to inspire and educate people to serve and protect God’s earth’ is foremost a response to God’s word, which establishes God’s creativity, ownership, and authority over all of creation, and humanity’s role as stewards, keepers, and rulers made in the image of God. We aspire to follow Christ’s model of sacrificial love and service for the sake of our fellow image-bearers, and for the creation we were called to serve in Genesis 2:15. The following are useful resources for continuing to explore creation’s place in the biblical story.
