SUPPORT STAFF — We are seeking full-time support staff at our northern Michigan campus (mid-May through mid-August).

The summer support staff positions will be responsible for housekeeping and light maintenance duties under the supervision of the Director of Support Services. Support staff will work in varied work environments and be trained to use appropriate personal protection and tools for the task at hand. A key part of support services is providing assistance to our programs through quality hospitality and service. The work week is a 40-hour week, Mon-Friday with an occasional weekend.

Qualifications

Must be responsible, trustworthy, teachable, organized and have an attention to detail.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work standing, bending, walking, reaching for 8 hour shifts.
Must work adequately under time pressures and constraints.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Preferably support service staff would have some skills in housekeeping or light maintenance. However, neither are requirements.

Wages and Benefits

Wage will be $10.10 per hour for the first 40 hours each week, time and a half for additional hours in the same week. Housing and meals also provided. Typical worker in this position earns $6,000 over the course of the summer.
