Fun facts:

Some specialized insects, such as certain species of sweat bees (Halictidae), rely heavily on nectar from Virginia mountain mint. Additionally, the aromatic compounds in its leaves and flowers, such as menthol and other essential oils, may provide natural antimicrobial benefits to bees, helping protect them from certain pathogens.

Unlike some other mints, such as Monarda species, Mountain Mint is less prone to leaf diseases like rust, making it a lower-maintenance choice for gardens.
